অলৌকিক বিশ্বাস 🖋️ ইফিজেনিয়া মেটোচি
দিগন্তের নীচে,
মেঘের ভেলায় ভাসমান একটি
আদিম আগুনের ক্ষণস্থায়ী ঝলক এবং
থরেথরে সাজানো বাহারি রঙের পাহাড়
আস্তে আস্তে ডুবে যায় সাগর তলে।
আবারও আবর্তিত আগস্ট।
ভাগ্য নির্ধারিত তবু আমরা স্বাপ্নিক..
সবাই ভিতরে একটা জাদু লুকিয়ে রাখে…
কেউ কেউ এটাকে অলৌকিক বলে,
কেউ বলে প্রতিভা, কেউ ভাবে ঐশ্বরিক।
আমি বলি “জীবন ও ভালোবাসার আবেগ”।
মুক্ত হও…মুক্ত বোধ করো…
ব্যক্তি স্বাধীনতায় বিশ্বাসী হলে এটাকে বাঁচাতে
লড়াই অব্যহত রাখা চাই
সঠিক পরিচর্যা চাই এবং
সর্ব শক্তি বিনিয়োগও চাই।
তাকে উপভোগ্য করতে সর্বোচ্চ ত্যাগ অবধারিত।
স্বাধীনতা রক্ষার জন্য
যে কোনো চরম পরিস্থিতি কিংবা
যে কাউকে ত্যাগ করতে দ্বিধা নেই,
দুরে নয় কাছে থাকুক স্বাধীনতা।
🇨🇾 Biography of Ifigenia Metochi:
She was born in Limassol in 1974. She graduated from the High Shool “Peter and Paul Lyceum” (Division of Classical Studies).
In Athens, she received a Diploma in Jewellery (Silver-and-Gold Design and Creation). Furthermore she is a self-taught painter; she illustrates and designs covers of books. In 1988, she was awarded by the “Seul Olympic Arts Festival” with “The World School Children’s Art Exhibition”.
She talks fluently French, English and Spanish.
She started writing poetry since she was young. She adores the sea, which since then remains the source of her inspiration in writing and art.
Presently she is a Member of the Board of the “Limassol Writers’ Society – Vasilis Michaelides”, holding the post of the Secretary. She is also Member of the Coordinating Team for Cultural Activities of Limassol, Member of the PEN (Greece Chapter), Member of the Intellectual Group of Limassol, of the National Society of Greek.
Writers of Cyprus, Member of the Spiritual Cycle of Limassol,
Member of ΕΠΟΚ; recently she became Member of the Hellenic
Cyprus Cultural Association (ΣΠΕΚ).
She is also Member of the Writers Capital International Foundation, Member of Writers’ Union and Selected Editor in Cyprus for Anthology of Poems (A book of poems of Writers across the Globe) by Chief Editor Matin Bangali.
In addition, she has been elected as Vice-president of the International Association for Hungerand Founding Member of the Limassol Association of Music and Poetic Arts “Mousagetis Apollo”.
Some of her poems and short stories have been awarded in Literature Contests in Greece as well as in a wider region, have been included in Anthologies and published in literature magazines.
Also she writes lyrics, that have been set to music and sung by her daughter, who is a musician, and have been uploaded on the youtube. Now they are preparing to be released on cd as well.
In 2003 she published her Selection of Poems titled “Adolescent thoughts”, in 2008 her Selection of Short Stories titled “Of the Sea and the Sun” and in 2021 her stories on memory
and tradition, “Painting touches of sea”.
She is the Member-Secretary of ‘Amaravati Poetry Festival 2022’ Dhaka.
